Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and peaflow for use of the peaflow iPhone app and peaflow.com. By using peaflow you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use peaflow.

1. What peaflow is — and isn't

peaflow helps families record medications, keep a schedule, send reminders and see whether scheduled doses were confirmed. It is an organizing and reminder tool.

• peaflow is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, treatment or professional judgment.
• Label scanning drafts information for you to check. You are responsible for confirming every medication, strength and time against the pharmacy label and with a pharmacist or doctor.
• Reminders and alerts depend on phones, networks and notification settings outside our control and may be delayed or not arrive. Don't rely on peaflow as the only way a dose is tracked.
• When peaflow reports that a dose wasn't confirmed, it reports that fact only. Decisions about medications belong to the person, their family and their clinicians.
• In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

2. Your account and care circle

• You must be at least 18 to create an account.
• Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Only add someone's medication information if you have their permission, or the legal authority to act for them.
• When you invite people to a care circle, they can see that person's medications and dose history. Invite only people you trust, and remove anyone who should no longer have access.

3. Subscriptions and free trials

• peaflow is free to use. peaflow Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered as a yearly plan, purchased through the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. Prices are shown in the App Store at purchase and may vary by region.
• Your subscription automatically renews at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial: the plan includes a 7-day free trial. The trial converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Cancel any time in the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions (or in the App Store app → your account → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse peaflow: no unlawful use, no attempts to access other people's data, no interfering with or reverse engineering the service, and no using it to harass anyone.

5. Your content

You own what you enter. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run peaflow for you and your care circle, as described in our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

6. Changes and ending the service

We may update peaflow and these terms. For material changes to the terms we'll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. You can stop using peaflow and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

7. Disclaimers and limits

peaflow is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any decision about medication made using information in peaflow. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if greater. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Apple

These terms are between you and peaflow, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for peaflow or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them.
